INTRODUCTION

NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN

  • What has been—it is what will be; and what has been done—it is what will be done; and there is nothing entirely new under the sun.

Qohelet (Ecclesiastes) 1:9 HTETF1

This verse establishes a governing principle of Bible prophecy: what will occur follows patterns already revealed in the past. Fulfilled events therefore provide the framework for understanding events that have not yet occurred.

The details do not have to repeat in exactly the same way for the pattern to remain recognizable. Earlier acts of warning, judgment, deliverance, and restoration reveal how Father will act again. One of the clearest examples is the account of Noah and the Flood.

AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH

  • And the word of YHVH Father came to me, saying:

בֶּן־אָדָם אֶרֶץ כִּי תֶחֱטָא־לִי לִמְעָל־מַעַל וְנָטִיתִי יָדִי עָלֶיהָ וְשָׁבַרְתִּי לָהּ מַטֵּה־לָחֶם וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּי־בָהּ רָעָב וְהִכְרַתִּי מִמֶּנָּה אָדָם וּבְהֵמָה

  • “Son of man, when a land sins against Me by committing unfaithfulness, I will stretch out My hand against it; I will break its staff of bread, send famine upon it, and cut off from it human and animal.

  • Even if these three men—Noah, Daniel, and Job—were in its midst, they, by their righteousness, would deliver only their own lives,” declares Lord YHVH.

Yechhezqel (Ezekiel) 14:12–14 HTETF1

Noah, Daniel, and Job stand as examples of righteous men who could deliver only themselves when judgment fell. This introduction focuses on Noah because his experience reveals the pattern of warning, instruction, obedience, and physical deliverance that appears again in future prophecy.

THE STORY OF NOAH AND THE FLOOD

The account of Noah records a real event preserved across generations. It contains the five basic elements found in stories:

  • WHO
  • WHAT
  • WHERE
  • WHEN
  • WHY

These five elements were not merely details recorded in Noah’s story. Together, they were Divine Survival Instructions. Father told Noah who would be delivered, what was about to happen, where he and his household had to go, when they had to enter, and why the world was about to be judged. Noah’s physical survival depended upon recognizing, believing, and obeying those instructions.

IN THE PAST

 WHO?

NOAH AND THE SEVEN MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD

Father identified Noah and the seven members of his household—a total of eight people—as those who were to enter the ark. He also declared that He would establish His covenant with Noah.

  • And I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

Bereshit (Genesis) 6:18 HTETF1

WHAT?

NOAH WAS FOREWARNED OF THE FLOOD

Father warned Noah before the destruction began. ForNoah, the Flood was not an unexpected disaster. Noah was told exactly what was coming: a world-destroying flood that would cause every living creature outside the ark to perish.

  • And I—behold, I am bringing the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life from beneath the heavens; everything that is on the earth will perish.

Bereshit (Genesis) 6:17HTETF1

 WHERE?

THE ARK – THE PLACE OF REFUGE

Father did not leave Noah to devise his own means of survival. He identified the ark as the appointed place of refuge and gave Noah detailed instructions for building it.

  • Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood. You shall make compartments in the ark, and you shall cover it inside and outside with pitch.

  • And this is how you shall make it: three hundred cubits shall be the length of the ark, fifty cubits its width, and thirty cubits its height.

Bereshit (Genesis) 6:14–15HTETF1

 WHEN?

NOAH WAS INSTRUCTED WHEN TO ENTER THE ARK

After Noah completed the ark and its preparations, Father told him when to enter this appointed place of refuge. Noah was not free to choose his own time. He had to act when Father gave the command.

  • And YHVH said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, because you I have seen as righteous before Me in this generation.

Bereshit (Genesis) 7:1HTETF1

 WHY?

MANKIND WAS ABOUT TO BE JUDGED

The reason that Noah was instructed to build the ark was because mankind was about to be judged. Its violence and corruption had reached the point at which Father determined to destroy that generation by the Flood. The ark was necessary because remaining outside it meant death.

NOAH’S FAITHFULNESS WAS A TEST

Building the ark was a test of Noah’s faithfulness. Father did not need Noah to build an ark because He lacked the power to save him by supernaturally whisking him away. He gave Noah instructions that required belief, preparation, and obedience.

Noah’s physical survival depended upon his response. Had he rejected the warning or refused to follow the instructions, he and his household would have remained outside the appointed place of refuge and perished with the rest of that generation. Noah believed the warning, obeyed the instructions, and entered the ark when commanded.

DIVINE SURVIVAL INSTRUCTION

The five elements in the Flood account are Divine Survival Instructions. Noah was identified, forewarned, shown the appointed place of refuge, told when to enter it, and informed why judgment was coming. Because he faithfully followed those instructions, Noah, his household, and the preserved animals were physically delivered through the Flood.

TODAY

Like Noah, we have also been provided with Divine Survival Instructions. The prophetic Scriptures identify who is being addressed, forewarn us of what is approaching, reveal where the appointed place of refuge is located, establish when Father’s people must act, and explain why the world is about to be judged. These instructions have already been written. Our responsibility is to recognize, understand, and obey them in order to physically survive the impending judgment that will befall the whole earth.

This is not a teaching about a supernatural removal of Father’s people from the earth. The Divine Survival Instructions describe Father warning His people in advance, directing them to an earthly place of refuge, and preserving them through the judgment—just as Noah and his household were preserved through the Flood.

There is one major difference between Noah’s position and ours. Noah lived through the event before his account was written. Our prophetic account has already been written, but the events it describes have not yet fully unfolded. The instructions are already present in Scripture. They must be identified, assembled, understood, and obeyed before the judgment arrives.

A STORY TOLD IN ADVANCE

Bible prophecy is a story told in advance. Just as the Flood account contains five fundamental elements, the prophetic Scriptures concerning the approaching judgment contain those same elements:

  • WHO? — The children of Israel and those who align themselves with Israel
  • WHAT? — We are forewarned of the approaching events
  • WHERE? — The appointed place of refuge prepared by Father
  • WHEN? — During Daniel’s 70th Week
  • WHY? — The world is about to be judged

This conclusion was derived through the use of a Methodological system, by which prophetic evidence dispersed throughout Scripture is identified, assembled, synchronized, and reconstructed into a unified prophetic account. The goal of Exodus X is to present that account clearly so readers can recognize the prophetic signs, understand the Divine Survival Instructions, and act upon them when the Greater Second Exodus begins. Exodus X therefore exists not merely to explain future prophecy, but to prepare those who are willing to hear and faithfully respond.

THE GREATER SECOND EXODUS

The prophets declare that a remnant of Israel will be gathered and returned to the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This is the Greater Second Exodus. The prophetic Scriptures also identify an appointed place of refuge where the remnant will be protected during the three-and-one-half-year period of great tribulation. They reveal the events that will serve as signs that this future Exodus has begun.
